The ATR 72 series have been succeeding for years in the Asia-Pacific region, where they have become the point of reference in terms of eco-efficiency and operational flexibility.\u00a0 The new ATR 72-600 variant is the leading current generation turboprop aircraft in the field, equipped with the next generation Thales Glass cockpit integrated avionic suite that enhances flight safety and operational capabilities, while reducing pilot workload.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  2. Performance: Max cruising speed 509km\/h (275kt) long-range cruising speed 440km\/h (237kt). Initial rate of climb 1,355ft\/min range with full passenger load, fuel and reserves 1,520km (820nm), range with a 2,720kg (6,000lb) payload 2040km (1,100nm).\u00a0<\/li>
  3. Weights: Operating empty weight 13,500kg (29,762lb), max takeoff 23,000kg (34,500lb).\u00a0<\/li>
  4. Dimensions: Wing span 27.05m (88ft 9in), length 27.17m (89ft 2in), height 7.65m (25ft 1in).\u00a0<\/li>
  5. The aircraft are configured in a spacious 2+2 seating layout, with comfortable leather seats, seating for 72 passengers and are complete with a full galley, large baggage compartments and a full size toilet.<\/li>
  6. The 600 series incorporates technological innovations to further enhance the feeling of space and features the new Armonia design interior produced by car interior designer Giugiaro of Italy, providing thinner and larger seats with more legroom and bigger overhead bins.<\/li>
  7. Improved LED interior lighting adds to the passenger\u2019s comfort and enjoyment flying with us.<\/li>

    9. The ATR 72-600 features state of the art avionics which provide the highest navigation standards for the safest journey. ii. The new avionics have been derived from the same technologies used on the most modern aircraft operating today. iii. In addition, to providing for a more robust navigation environment, the system offers the highest level of reliability.<\/p>

    10. Cabin: The cabin has been revamped to offer the best in class passenger comfort through new generation seats and larger luggage bins comparable with those in modern jet aircraft services.<\/p>

    11. The key assets of the ATR\u2019s success include its unrivalled airport accessibility, excellent dispatch reliability, low fuel burn and low maintenance costs.<\/p>

    12. ATR\u2019s acceptance in the regional market gives great confidence for the future. In return, ATR is willing to further invest in the product.\u00a0 Two important developments that will be of great interest for operators are the design of a short-runway version of the ATR 42, and the upgrade of the current RNP AR 0.3\/1 to the RNP AR 0.3\/0.3 capability.\u00a0<\/p>

    13. Design of ATR 42S version, \u201cS\u201d standing for short runway, is planned for Q4 2019. The preliminary performance target in a temperate climate (ISA +15) is to load 46 passengers for a 200 Nm mission from an 800m-long runway at sea level.\u00a0 To achieve those performances, the targeted aircraft modifications are the redesign of the rudder, the increased efficiency of the ATR42 brakes, and the logics of up-trim of the live-engine in case of one engine failure.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
